After a difficult loss of my little project endi a couple of weeks ago, I am set to try again. Endi's are pricey and very difficult to come by where I am. I happened upon one last Friday and picked her up.
It was from the same batch as my original one. Only one external gill was present and like the first one I picked up she is in pretty rough shape. Very skinny and all of the finlets on the back are bent/broken. From the anal fin I would say that it is female.
What is noticable is the lack of stripping compared to all of the others in the batch, second is the growth rate, I seen the batch when it first came in and the original 8 were all the same size. There were 3 left when I picked her up last friday-She was easily 1/3 larger than the other 2.
I have escape proofed this tank, and am trying very hard to make it go right this time.
Any one know if the finlets will straighten over time or will they always be bent??It is like they were broken in transport.
