trying my hand at a pond

welll i have a duck blind thats not being used so i decided to fill it with water and make a pond out of it...i got a pond pump rated for a 500g pond, i'm only at around 75-80 proably. put a little sand and some rocks in the bottom of it for substrate and hung a small filter that i had laying around on it...what other suggestions do you have for helping the fish out. we've caught some largemouth bass and put them in there but they aren't doing very well, whats the best way to transport the fish from the pond to the house? any help will be appreciated
