Have found it hard to get info on brackish fish. Went ot Wal-Mart and got some cute fish -- green puffers. Lost 4 before I got the hang of raising them. They only eat krill and snails. Don't like anything else. Got me a figure 8 puffer, managed to keep number 2 alive. He is skinny, but eats krill and frozen shrimp, frozen blood worms. Went to Petsmart and got 4 dwarf puffers -- lost 3. Went and got three more, lost 3. Got the dwarf alge eaters ot got with the, lost 3. Now doing good with 1 only. Eats frozen blood worms.

Got several other fish, mono's, skats and knight golby. I each, but feel that I should have had more. Have each in 10 to 20 gallon tanks by themselves. Wish I could add to the food varities.

Hard to find how to post to this site. Took forever to find this spot.

welcome. there are plenty of brackish keepers on here. I have a 120 and a little exp with it. one thing I would offer up is to get a larger tank with salt I have found that the more water you have the easyer it is to keep you water from fluctuating.

Most of the BW fish you are keeping get much too large for the tanks they are in.

Monos grow a foot & are schooling fish--300g+ for a school.
GSPs grow to 6" & require a minimum of 30g ea.
Scats get to be the size of a dinner plate--50g ea.
Dwarf puffers are strictly FW fish.
Puffers belong in species only tanks. Don't mix GSPs, F8s & DPs.
Many BW fish require marine conditions at adulthood.

If your puffers are eating well & still skinny, they have internal partrasites. Please let me know if you need more info on any of these species.
