I've been trying out this new food with my kamfa.it's called '9.9' I believe it's from a thai farm.
The ingredients are listed below.

I know this makes me a hypocrite because i used to bash on 'FH speciality foods' lol (this feed was relatively inexpensive). I was feeding the fish bio gold and cichlid gold for the first week, then i starved it for 3 days before I introduced the new pellets. There was a noticeable change in the red pigments on him,I guess it's because of the astaxanthin.
Note : Yes I do realize that feeding these pellets will not turn my low quality classic kamfa into an AAA grade fh overnight lol and that genes play a big role in nuchal hump size, pearling and colour.

I have no idea about the food you are using, but be careful of the Asian cichlid foods. Some of them come with hormones.

Where I live, in northern China, the African Cichlid food is all packed with male hormones. Makes the fish color up really well - even at an inch and a half - but it stunts their growth later and ruins their adult color. I have to be very careful to buy foreign fish food here.

Your food may be completely different though.

It appears to be a low grade food - soybean meal in top 3 ingredients. Most Thai food is ****. Why? So many better products on the market today. SMH

You got some solid advice here in the past .........

This topic has been beaten to death so many times. Heres the take away that matters. ANY FOOD MADE SPECIFICALLY FOR FLOWERHORN IS USUALLY JUNK. Some of the best foods on the market: Northfin, New Life Spectrum, and Hikari Bio Gold Plus. There are other good foods out there. Pay attention to the ingredients.

If a person just wants red fish, why mess around, just feed Carophyll Pink/Red. I wouldn't advise that, but hey, some folks seem to think this is the way to a nice red fish. lol

Thank you for the feedback RD. Just trying out something new,the fish will be back on hikari soon.

soybean meal in top 3 ingredients.
May I ask ,why only the top 3 ingredients? What if soybean meal is the 6th or 7th ingredient? Does this mean the amount of soybean meal in the feed is significantly less?

What if first ingredient? What do you think?

In pet food, as most consumer foods, Ingredients are listed in order of weight, beginning with the ingredient that weighs the most and ending with the ingredient that weighs the least. At least by those following the rules & regulations. Obviously this means that a food contains more of the ingredients found at the beginning of the list, and less of the ingredients at the end of the list.

So quality up front, and hopefully low quality filler type ingredients near the end. Better yet, no soybean at all if possible, or at the very least limited. Personally, I avoid all Asian foods (due to reasons already stated above), with the exception of Hikari which has a long standing name, reputation, & set of standards in this industry.

Your fish, your call.

In a way it is good you supported a flowerhorn specific shop by buying that food. But you may as well feed red colored construction paper as far as quality is concerned.
