Thought I’ll share with y’all, Setting up a new home for the bichirs ... trying out river sand instead of garnet .. they’re washed up right now because I had them on bare white bottom for a few weeks lol !

They look grayish with river rocks. I tried it back in the days.

They might still look pale in that white back and bottom.

maybe add some large round dark colored river rocks? but the white background is going to be hard to beat for color.

DMD123 has similar substrate in his poly tanks as well. The polys seem to like it.

drift wood looks so realistic how it is hanging. Nice job! I agree with everyone else about adding some bigger rocks, to make it more natural and entertaining for the polys. /

Thanks ! Zip tied the wood to the top brace of the tank lol ! The reason I don’t have bigger rocks because I’m trying to give them more space , hence the wood is on top... but we will see !
