Hello, after many years of trying to find a compatible male texas to add to my female blood parrots 65 gallon I finally found him about 2 weeks ago( usually all the male texas I try to add with her won't stop attacking her) anyways about 2 days ago I did a water change in there tank and prior to that I had seen no signs of breeding other than a pit being dug out in the middle of the tank, so to my surprise when I woke up this morning I noticed the females egg tube had fully dropped, wondering if anyone had on opinions on what I should expect in the coming days?

They will prob breed but mess up and eat the eggs it takes a few tries sometimes or they could be great

thanks for the response, the female ended up laying eggs in the flowerpot and the male and her guarded them for about 2 days before the eggs just disapeared, so they probably were eaten, hoping with abit more experience the parents could actually have some fry lol

Look like ur on ur way, mine only lasted about 3 hours before they started eating them and they were convicts
