Hey guys,

My 180g should be arriving in a few weeks and I really need to get my filtration ready. I've been looking at some sump tanks available (I'd make my own, but I'm not entirely DIY inclined yet) and I'd like some opinions.

So far I've found the TruVu series 180 or 300...

or the Clear Choice sump

Anyone have experience with these? If not, any sump tanks you would recommend? Cost isn't really an obstacle...

i was like you and didn't want to make my own sump when i bought my 180. If i had to do it over i would though. you could get a 55 gallon and set it up how you want. lots of ideas on diy. it would cost at maximum half the price.

I like the sump from that pet place but would like dual inflow tubes. i bought a proclear and run a mag 18.

DIY is the way to go
lots of info hear

Well, I have no experience with sumps in general so If I were to make my own, I'd have to be walked through it pretty much all the way through.

This is my first big tank, and I'm impatient as all hell to get it up and running so I want to do it right.

i went crazy with the DIY and everytime i end up going over the top and it becomes a pain in butt to clean. i am in the works of using an old 55 gal tank for my next sump but im using the clear choice sump for ideas. trying to keep it simple is the hard part for me. out of those two sumps you listed i say the clear choice.

If you need some help or a walk through, give me a shout. I could set you up.
