Trying to grow out my festae.

I have a festae and a flowerhorn I want them to get as big as possible in a short period of time. Any recommendations?

If you want to grow them out, keep them separated from each other.
80s is too high for red terrors IMO but perfect for flowerhorns.

Do they make a floating nls? Ive been feeding hikari cichlid gold floating, but wanting to switch to nls but the local store that carries it only has the sinking type and a floating type of xtreme brand cichlid pellets that just doesnt sound as good.

I use flakes. My understanding is they are healthier.

I agree with endo, 80s for only a short period for festae, and don't raise the 2 in the same tank.
And if you can do a partial water change every day, or every other day, it will speed growth.
My festae went from the 1st pic, 2" to the 2nd 7" in a few months with daily water changes, and temps in the mid 70sF.
I believe water changes are much more important than food.
