A friend of mine got a random little fish in with their fish order. They don't know what it is, I don't know what it is. Neither of us have seen one of these before.

This little fish is about the size of a guppy, but we don't know if this is a baby or adult. The fish has the same body shape as a guppy or platy. The face is where it gets weird... Instead of the pointed upturned surface feeding mouth of the guppy or platy, this little guy has a mouth that is more at the front of its face and is more rounded. Its face reminds me a lot of the porcupine puffer fish.
As far as Color goes, it's a light gold color with slight reddish markings on the tips of some of its scales.
Unfortunately, the pics I have are pretty crappy... actually, they're pretty useless... I will be back up there later today, so I will see if I can maybe get some better pictures.

What was the species order it came with? That might be a clue to its origin?
Looks like either a female live bearer or a killifish to me.
I blew it up a little to see more detail.

None are the same, but give some comparisons.

It came in with a lot of things. They own a fish store. I do know it came in with some Jaguar cichlids, clown loaches, and gourami. I was thinking possibly a western mosquito fish, but the mouth and face shape just isn't right. Like .-. vs •_• (front view of the face) and <° vs €° (side view of the face)
I know, not the best imaging, but I'm using what I got... 😂

Better comparison of what I was saying above.
The top sketch being a side profile of a guppy.
The bottom sketch being the side profile of mystery fish going off of my crappy photos.

I do remember looking at it and thinking "oh, it's a molly with a puffers face"

🤔 I wonder if it could possibly have a deformed mouth...
I'll see if I can at least get a location of where the shipment came from later today.
If push comes to shove, I'll buy the fish, I'm pretty sure I can get better pictures with my lighting at home.

On a side note, it has a face identical to a pearl galaxy danio.

Side profile gives me danio vibes. Face does look to be a livebearer or killi though.
