i got a new stand for my african cichlids, because i saw last night that the old one is beging to lean a crack.
which means that it will eventually tip over my tank and you know......

Anyway i dont know how i should go about this situation?

i want to take all the water out and the decorations too,but what should i do with my fish?

Should i but them all(16)in a bucket full of tank water

the exchange of fish stand would only take a maximum of 10-15 minutes

any advice

a) a couple of buckets
b) bag them
c)buy rubber maid containers from walmart so you don't have to do a 100% water change plus this way there is more room.
These are a few choices

I used a couple of rubber garbage cans (sterilized of course). Just filled two with water and put my O's in one and plecos in the other. The third one I used for the decorations. You can just about anything that holds water (buckets, trash cans, bags). Depends on how big the fish and tank are.

well take a few buckets(atleast healf of the tank if its small) and fill them with the tankwater and fish, then take out all decor and depending on howmuch water there is left drain more of it out and then you can move the tank onto the new stand...BTW are you just replacing the new stand in the same place that the old one was in or are you moving the tank in the process of replacing the stand?
