Trying to treat finrot w/o medication, possible?

Hello everyone,

I noticed that my black aro has a bit of fin rot. This happened when it was in a 10G for a week, during my new tank construction period. The tank conditions for it was not ideal and it was stressed, which led to this.

Can I treat it w. salt? If so how much per 100G

yes
clean water and a little higher temp with some salt should do the trick

Lots of cleans water(nitrates below 10ppm) is the best remedy for minor fin rot.

Change water every day 50%... add salt, temp ~ 82-84F.

You can add Melafix and Pimafix, but like Bderick67 wrote... the most imortant is to have a clean water... Nitrate < 10.
