I picked up a 12" TSN a little over a week ago. He was all by himself growing out in an 80g. Yes I know how big he gets and what is required to keep him when he grows up, but for right now the 80 seems to have plenty of room. I hope to have a 500g or bigger within 6 months - working on getting it designed/ordered/built right now. I figure that should keep him happy for while and then he'll move to an outdoor pond. I already have permission for that build as well, can't wait!
I also have a Jag that was in my 120g, but was being a bit of an ahole to my other cichlids, so I put him in timout in the 80g yesterday with the TSN. I will be doing my weekly water changes on Friday and am planning to move some things around in the 120 and hoping this will disrupt the territories enough to allow the Jag to go back in the 120. However, last night I noticed him harassing the TSN. I put a divider in the 80 to protect my TSN for now.
My question is, should I keep the divider in for the moment, or will my TSN be able to hold his own? If the Jag continues to be an ahole to everyone, I'm thinking he'll be dinner for my TSN once the TSN grows up a bit...but he's such a beautiful fish.
