Did a search but came up with mixed results.
I've had my tsn for a little over a week, and my peacock eel kept biting his fins. So I pulled the peacock for now. Is Melafix a good idea?

My TSN and other cats get their fins torn every other week from messing around or fighting or whatever. I never add any meds. They heal on their own and you should see improvement within a day or two with good water conditions.

my TSN fights with my jardini ocassionaly and his fins get ripped but heal in 2 days. i do a wc and add aquarium salt that is all

Have a pangasius shark (ID Shark) and have been using melafix to cure scracthes when it ram on ornaments. No harm being done my other fish as well (stingray, pimelodous, rapahel cats).

Salt and a water change is all I do when my rtc hybrid gets ripped up. Heals very quick, him and my lavender belly pike seem to like the same caves and that never goes well. But I don't like Meds unless I have to and they heal quick on there own.
