Thinking of adding a small TSN with my 8.25" Tat (Red Tail Payara)

Could I house these guys together for life?

I guess i'll start with the same question you're gonna get asked a 1000 times.. What size tank do you have for them ?????

:ROFL:... 150gl (5x2x2) RenaX4 (ceramic rings and carbon), 18watt U/V with a 20gl Sump filled with plants, ceramic rings and bioballs. 2 powerheads in the tank that is about 1000gph facing the long way for current (my fish seem to like it and it also helps with the pooh (it usually gets sucked in by the Rena but sometimes I have to take it out)).

I was thinking of getting a small TSN and keep him in a 50gl for a few months till he gets a little bigger (don't want to chance my Tat stricking/eating him at that size).

I haven't keept any of them... But i would try it if i were u...

I'm thinking about them together. I'm just worried about the growth rate of the two. Tats are slow growers and I believe TSN are fast growers

But i don't think a TSN would be able to swallow a TAT..

Well then:naughty::naughty::naughty::naughty::naughty:
I think its a deal. Now to find a small TSN in SoCal. Anyone know where to get a TSN near LAX?

How much r they anyway ? Here a TSN would go for 3-5$...for a 3-4"..

I have no IDEA:screwy:? I wanted to get some feedback first and now the hunt starts. I don't think they would be to expensive where I'm at (not that I live any where special or nothing, just guessing).
I will post once I find out a price then Pick once I get one:D

150g tank is no where near big enough to keep a tsn for life. and if you think there's a fish a tsn can't eat u may be right but don't think it won't try.
