TSN......eating pellet????

dont feed them nothing but pel;let. and have them in a comunity setting where other fish are eating pellets also. ALL my fish eat pellets. tsn, tsn red tail hybrid, my bichirs , ornate, senegalis, and palmas, everything does. but i also give them beefhart few times a week. but i made sure they atre pellets befor they ever got the beefhart. dont want them spoiled
if you give it other foods it will never learn to eat them. aslong as it cant eat nothing in the tank. he will not starve and will recognise that the ppellets are food and he will eat them .
Agree.. make sure they are fat and healthy with their regular diet
then switch them to pellets. Be strong as it may take a couple of days
or maybe even a week but it will happen.

My 19" TSN used to go to the top and take pellets from the surface.
I used to have 4 clown knives. Bought them at the same time (one Royal, 3 regular Clown). The royal and 1 clown got fat off pellets, the other 2 refused. I would only feed meats 1x/week, and stil those two would not eat pellets. Huge size difference after a few months. I guess some fish are just more finicky..
