TSN food

well im gonna get a 3-4" tsn on friday . he will go in my 20 until i finish my 450 gallon pond which should be within a few weeks. my question is will they eat prepared food such as hikari carnivore pellets?

I will still be able to house a silver aro and some PBass with it right?

mine eats those sinking pellets, i want it to eat shrimp tho but it wont. and you can house it with pbass and an aro aslong as there around the same size, or else the aro n pbass will make a quick snack out of the tsn

got another tsn question. Iv been reading and i read that most fish cant keep up with the growth rate of the tsn. so will the aro get eaten once it slows down its growing?

I got my tsn about 8 or 9 months ago.. Got him when he was about 3" now he is 17 pushing 18"! I am feeding mine earthworms, FD shrimp, FD krill, hikari sinking pellets, hikari floating pellets...Might try some Tilapia fillets soon..

But when mine was small I fed it..

Black worms
Cut up earthworms
Rosies/guppies
sinking carnivore pellets

And look at him now! I must have fed him something good.!

Some places might say they are aggressive fish...My is one if not the least aggressive fish I own..

And I have never had a problem with keeping them with aros.
