Ok so a couple of questions.

I have a 75g, a 60g coming and looking for a 90g.

Now all of these tanks aren't long, they are wide, so Id like to get 1 tsn but small, VERY small and grow him for a couple of years, then I have a friend with a 100 long and a 225 which is very long, he wants a TSN but can wait. So where would be the best place to get a small TSN as small as I can get so I have some years with him? And how big is too big for him to be in a 75 which is 48x and how fast do they grow?

[I highly doubt you'll be able to keep a TSN in the tank for over a year, the grow extremely fast, so be prepared to get rid of it soon if you decide on getting one. the one I currently have got to a little under a foot in 2 months and I bought him at 4 inches,

Depending on how wide your tanks are, i'd say maybe a year to year and half in a standard width tank. alot depends on how you feed to on how fast they'll grow, if you powerfeed of course he's gonne get bigger faster.

good info thanks!! Please keep it coming. I don't over feed at all and im also looking for a place to get them SMALL!!! :)

when they are small they will grow super fast untill they reach about 8-10 inche's and then they will get thicher and a little longer and a little and so on...i know a guy who has a 22 inch tsn in a 90 gallon but a tsn is a long fish and there still not much room for him at all and if they wanted to they could break though it so be carefullwith the tsn and good luck.by the way that tsn was in a 55 gallon for about 9 weeks before i fliped out on him and i still fliped on him for the 90 gallon

I don't think a 225g is big enough for a full grown TSN. These things get MASSIVE! Check out my threads, scroll down to ccdoido, and watch the vid. The TSN in the video is every bit of 5 feet long.
