hey guys, this is a repost, i posted it in a sticky up above but i think my tsn ate some pebbles.. all the other fish seem to be accounted for, he's about 3" with some community fish about the same size that im not very attached too. but the substrate is pebbles form when the p.o. had when he had the tank tank set up (125 until he gets about a foot, then im planning on a 300 at least) but his belly is huge and kinda lumpy.. is there any proven way to have him regurgitate without hurting him? i kind of want to massage his stomach underwater but the last thing i want to do is make him uncomfortable.. any help would be greatly appreciated. hopefully pictures to follow, i just have to try and get a good one

When my ten was around 5 inches it ate some gravel while hunting feeders. It wasn't eating for about a week but after that, it was acting normal again.

I don't think u should worry about it unless its acting up.
This is from my personal experience. Maybe others can chime in with other experiences.

Good luck and I hope everything goes well

well i just got him yesterday at around 8 so i don't really know how he normally should be acting, he ate the gravel at around 10ish that same night but now all he does is kind of sit in the fake plants i have in his tank.. are they normally more active? or is he still just getting used to his surroundings? there is one fish that i think is missing, it was a smaller sub 1" molly fry but he wasn't much of a fry anymore and i assumed he would have been too big for the cat, could he just have bitten off more than he could chew?

cats hang out at the bottom of tank and do not move very much until dark.

they are nocturnal so eating and active movement normally happens at night.
my tsn doesnt move very much unless its hungry.

yea hes real active in the mornings before i turn the lights on or when i cut the lights out to go to bed but the swelling went down a lot, i think he just ate a bigger fish than i thought possible and it was taking him a while to digest it, thanks for all the information thou, im sure he'll be fine

is there any easy way to switch the pebbles out for pool sand in an already established tank? i have a 20L and a 10 that i can house the fish in for a little bit or until im finished... does that sound like it'll be doable?
