i was thinking about getting a tsn, saw it at the local fish store, but i was wondering why are these ones so dark?
what am i going to have to feed the tsn so he gets lighter?
is he like the rtc feed twice a day when juvinile and less when they get bigger?

Judging by your previous posts, I think it's best to leave this fish in the store. You have a lot of work to do in order to get the RTC's environment up-to-par, the most basic thing being to buy some test kits. Also, I think some more research would be beneficial so that you know what to expect as the current catfish you have grows. I don't think you need to "double your trouble," so to speak, by purchasing yet another potential monster. Instead of buying this fish, why not buy some test kits so you can provide the best conditions for the fish that you have? Then, start planning your pond.

TSN are really dark as babies and then their pattern gradually starts to come through as they mature. So no you don't have to feed special foods, but you shouldn't just feed pellets or flakes to these potential monsters.

*BUT*

I think you should listen to Justonemoretank...who happens to have a beautiful RTC who is definitely in a nice spacious pond. Work with what you have, and then expand from there.
