Feeders
I'm trying to wean him onto fz krill and hikari sinking carnivore but no luck. Buying him some more minnows tomorrow as he has not had a full tummy in a about 3 days. What I am asking is for any tips on how it's done

stop feeding him minnows. wait a week of him not being fed. start with something like bloodworms, krill or cut tilapia. he should take to it pretty fast, then try pellets afterwards.

Stop feeding him the minnows and only offer him shrimp or tilapia. Remove the food if he doesn't eat and try again tomorrow. And so on.

3 days is nothing. Try for a couple weeks, every 4-5 days offer pellets. NLS have garlic in them, that helps. It'll be worth it.

Agree with above. They can go for weeks without eating(but they won't).

All the guys above are right IMO - you are not fasting it long enough. But what's the fish's size? Looks small. I'd not let it fast for more than a week just to be on the safe side.

Yes don't give up, three days is not long enough. Just use ideas above, he will eat when he gets hungry enough.

Try feeding cut talapia and shrimp everyday, if he doesn't eat then take it out. Possibly try again later after your lights go out. Do this everyday until he starts to eat. I do this whennever I get a new fish who won't eat, usualy takes about a week or more before they are hungry enough to try something new. Don't worry and keep trying, eventualy he will eat.
