Do TSN hunt at night or during the day...or both. Sadly my TSN refused his prawn tonight which upset me. I even poked him in the face with it and he didnt move...he also looked suspiciously fat. I think he has taken one of my convicts. I want to design the tank with two big piles of flowerpots and drain pipe at each end of the pond, with the idea being that at least two pairs of cons will survive and breed giving a constant supply of food. If TSN hunt in the day, I need larger caves the cons can race round to lose the TSN, but if they hunt at night I need caves the TSN cant fit in, the flower pots will be death traps. I hope I can get it to work!

use rocks with round edges and glue them using silicon sealant to make caves but there might be a chance that the TSNs might bang in to them

my TSN will only go after my fish in the tank if there are no goldfish for him to eat. mine rarely moves during the day.

make sure the caves have interlocking openings to one another so if theyre trapped in one they can escape to another. my tsn eats whenever he is fed. but he'll only eat fish, i havent been able to get him to eat pellets or shrimp

my tsns eat anytime i feed them...they are more active when i do a live minnow feeding...they are active day and night...i don't think it will work out as i have tried the same thing only to have them get picked off one by one...if you wont to have feeder convicts do a seperate tank for them...imo

edit: i just realized this thread is a year old...whats the deal with grave digging lately?

Mine eats day or night when being fed. When he fancies himself a little extra snack (one of his tank mates) they've always disappeared at night. Maybe as well as having the caves a blue moonlight kit on all night would help your cons see him coming? (has worked with mine!)

Yup, just realized that to, and the person who posted it hasn't been on for over 2 months.
