Now that he's about 10"-12" I'm hoping you guys can tell me what type of TSN he is? If you need anyother shots or features lmk.. I took a bunch of shots and tried to find the best ones I had to give as much signs. I've never seen a TSN like him before.

hmmm, still might need to be a bit larger first. It can just be narrowed down at this point. Easier to tell when closer to sub adult size. So when it's 24" I will chime in lol. See ya in a year!!!

I stand by no way to tell yet lol. That would be my best guess at this point though, but again it is a guess.

Yeah I figured it'd still be up there but was hoping to narrow it down now that he's bigger, no signs of white stripeing still. =P and i'm sure i'll post pictures of him again before next year ;)

This is what I'm thinking, Thanks for the input!

I would say pseudoplatstoma fasciatum but it is hard to tell at this size

My last one was def a Fasc.. but I'm pretty sure this guy is a WC fish. the LFS brought him in with a RTC... as hybrids and neither fish looked Hybrid. This guy also had a more slender head from the get-go. But you could end up being right.. I just have never seen one at this size w/out the tell-tale white stripes at least starting to appear.

it has a pretty cool pattern. I'm not sure what species it is but it looks nice.

yeah even as a baby he looked abit more "refined" then the tsn's you normally find.

I know the word hybrid is spoken way too often, but here that would be my best guess. The markings look like metaense or like reticulatum with reduced markings, but the head shape is different, resembling the "normal" fasciatum to me. Nice fish either way. Btw check out your natives thread. I asked for an update on that :D

My 2 cents: it is about 6"-8" too early if not more. To be certain, I think Necrocanis is right. Have to wait til 2'. This guy still has baby written all over him.

I'm just happy to see it again and looking good btw!!! Yay catfish updates!!!!
