I have my tsn in my 10g which i'll letting him getting larger so I can put him in my 46g with my clownknive. The tsn is 6in now and isnt eating as he nearly did. Is it because he's stressed out cuz the tank is to small or is it because hes tired of hikari carnivore pellets. I've tried frozen cooked shrimp and he could care less. The reason hes not in the 46g is because when I put him in when I got him which was a month and a half ago, the ck would bully him and bit up his top fin. Im not sure if I want to the tsn in this weekend or wait another month or so. What do you guys think?

I think that both tanks are entirely too small for either of those fish. The ck is too territorial and those guys need a large tank in order to live peacefully. Both fish can reach 3 feet, thats the size of your 46 gallon. and the tsn can get bigger than that. I know I have said this before in your other thread about feeding. But the ck is not going to allow that tsn in that tank.

Hi kida, what is the 10g foot print? But then it cant be enough.

Above post also.

I have had a few cats and they have never turned there nose up at food, unless not happy, either to small a tank or bad water.

I would say get a bigger tank say a 4x2 foot print with good cover for it, could be more than some suggest but thats me. This would last for a few month longer, i say this from the TSNxRT i have.

And also like i do, what you planning for the future for it??

Only asking as if you plan to go from a 10g to a 46 g what snext? Seems like why not go to half way to the 1000g you will need for the TSN when fully grown then you can have it sorted easyer?

you probably see it all the time about people saying that you need a bigger tank but you really need to. 46 is unreasonably small. Dont wanna sound like a dick and repetitive but its wrong to keep it in that small. Its not eating because it environment.

Like everyone said, you need a bigger tank, but that's not why he's not eating. My 4" tsn is in a 10g qt tank for the time being and he eats like a beast. There is probably something wrong with you water which is causing the fish to be sick. Do a water change and watch him closely to see if there is anything wrong. For example, if he is bloated, turned on his side or swimming for a second, floating for a second, and then swimming for another second.

Im not going to be able to get a bigger tank for proabably half a year. After thinking about, Im going to return the tsn. I dont want to risk my ck bullying him and tearing him to pieces, as he has bullied him before. I also know that the tsn will grow very fast and sooner or later down the line, there's going to be problems. With my busy life thats the last thing I need. I also see the tsn swimming very fast in the 10g and its sorta sad. He deserves to go to someone with a big tank.
But for my 10g, I have a one inch duboisi, 3in goldfish, and 2in pictus catfish. Im wondering if I could put in an electric blue crawfish and/or a silver pictus catfish? Again thanks everyone for the advice. Its just that I was told from the beginning that the 46g would be fine for more then just the ck, with this being my first tank, I didnt know a lot! I thought just because I read it online it would pertain to me to like; get fish that are young and raise them together and you wont have a problem..yeah right. Since I cant get a tank for probably 6 months. Whats a good tank size for a fully grown ck and silver arowana (the first one died and I would like another)?
