the spot pattern is diff on all three also...1 no spots on white...1 some spots on white...1 more spots on white then the other with spots...

I would not imagine they are diff sub species, just that they have slight coloration differences. Just because they are the same kind of fish, does not mean they will look exactly 100% the same, individuals will have some slight variances between each other. As example, my endlicheri bichirs all have slight variances in coloration (lighter/darker, markings, etc...) but are all normal endlicheri bichirs. Yours are all normal good looking TSN's ! :)

THANX FOR THE COMPLIMENT...I WAS THINKING THEY MIGHT GET DIFF STRIPE PATTERNS LIKE THE DIFF SUB-SPEICES...DOES ANYONE KNOW THE TYPE COMMONLY FOUND IN THE TRADE STATE SIDE?

its almost impossible to tell the different pseudoplatystoma sp. from the juvi patterns. Not that the adult colorations are any easier, but it can be done. But If you find out the collection point it'll be easier to tell you what sp. you have. My guess would be P. fasciatum or P. tigrinum these are the two most common sp that are imported.

Nice kittens....hope you have a monster tank for them. They get big and get big fast.

yeah each has a diff pattern, not every fish has same

they will go in my 6'x2'x2' then after i move and get it built a 10'x5'x3' tank or a 10'x10'x3' indoor pond i haven't desided...i am leaning tward the tank though i do want a big fish pond at some point...i may wait on the pond till i can do my aripima setup though.

I suspect that they'll be a hybrid of coruscans x tigrinum or something similar - very commonly exported as they are farmed for the food industry and farmers not too concerned about keeping species identity - more interested in growth rate and feed conversion rates. nice fish - will probably end up looking like a nice shovel
