i just bought a 4-5in TSN and it hasnt eaten for 2 days now i think... it just hides and stays motionless but i know its alive because i see it breathing... should i be concerned or just wait cuz its probably just getting used to the new tank?

Mine was the same way. Try putting in a small amount of food once it's dark, mine would eat that overnight. Eventually he started eating during the day, too.

gorgeous TSN, mine had a smashed face... feed at night, small amounts of diced shrimp, or bloodworms, or whatever our trying to feed. i always had luck with shrimp.

if he is eating you can usually see it cuz their bellies will show it... i got mine at 2.5 inch had to do feeders but once it was 5 to 6 inch took anything it could find... took it til almost 10 to feed during the day... but 2 days is not a long time for them to go... i would just say he is getting used to his tank... goodluck

When mine was tiny I used a turkey baster and put the bloodworms right in front of his nose (but not touching him, as that would scare him away) and this way he got food before my rtc could eat it all.

when i get small cats i usually wait at least two to three days before i try to eat, one for someone that small, feed adult brine shrimp and blood worms, TSN have huge appetites they are just very timid to begin with, i have:
3 TSN
2 RTC
1 RTCxTSN
2 American Channel catfish, (wild caught)
All catfish i have started out as newborns expect for the channels,
They will always hold out for a couple of days from babies to adults any time
ive ever move one,
Also just by being that small you have to remember in the wild that would be food for anything near it including other catfish, they are very timid and scared of everything
blood worms and brine shrimp are the way to go as they are young,
Best of luck
