i considered that at first but his gills run flush with his body when he exhales, does that matter? if you cant see well enough in the video i can make another

thats normal mine did that when he was that small. I do have one question did you put any Chemicals into the water recently? cause is so that can lead to heavy breathing but he looks fine. And they Heavily breath after feeding they are digesting some of the food.

thanks for the relief!

the only chemical i use is prime. the only time i really notice his heavy breathing is after eating. could it be something in the food?

nope food selection is fine i would throw some feeders in there on occasion to fatten him up. I use pellets and some smelts for my Tsn but once in a while i throw feeders in there (IMO), i believe feeders a beneficial to growth. But that is completely normal after feeding time my TSN breaths heavy and you can see the clear like film part of the gill move in and out its normal. And on the prime i cant really tell if the chemical usage has an affect on the Tsn but i know any other chemicals your only supposed to use half of the dosage recommended on the directions when having Any type of bottom dweller and especially catfish. But just keep us updated encase you have anymore questions or if you have any other issues if something else changes. hope this helped

perfect. thank you very much.. forgot, I also use flora pride for the plants, and nutra-fin cycle if i ever need to set up a quarantine or anything.

im new to cats so I'm still learning.
