TSN red gills

I went to the lfs today to check on the TSN I'm getting Friday and the little guys gills and underside (just in the throat area) were red. Does that not mean an ammonia poisoning? My gf will post pictures

its kind of hard to see because of cell pics but here

you cant really see any red but in person its all in the throat area

That is the skinniest TSN I have ever seen.... Notice how the stomach is sunken in? Either they aren't attempting to feed it at all, or it has some serious health issues. I'd look for a healthier specimen or request a no questions asked replacement in the event of death.

Leave it at the shop untill it looks more healthy, if the shop dont like it dont buy at all.

Ya I don't want to pay 24.99 for a fish that is in the condition but I'm afraid if I miss this one, it will be a long time until I find one again

I brought the health issues to their attention and they were fine with it.
