I have 1 TSN and 2 RTC's and i noticed little tiny holes like pin pricks on my tsn started on the head and now have worked its way down the body, the holes are in clusters. after a few months i noticed it on my rtc's. I thought it was just pigment loss at first and then i wondered if it was HITH, but it doesn't look like HITH on cichlids. Anyone know what this is??????

Will post better pics later...

i have no idea myself but i have also noticed it on my oscar, it does not look like HITH, unless it is the beginning stages. i have not seen or at least noticed it on my RTC yet.

The pits are normal and are used as part of their sensory system. My rtc x tan had them as well.

I vote sensory and my reason is they are also located on the tsn lateral line big hint their but I'm also not a expert lol I would do some water changes to be safe but I don't know that it looks troublesome keep us posted

hmmm don't recall seeing any clusters on my RTCs.

If you think it's HITH give them vitachem with their food, I do it any ways it's good for them. It can reverse minor to hevy HITH and also prevents it.

the tsn has had them for some time.... back in nov. i thought it might have been the begining of HITH so i did the vitachem and nothing changed... so i asssumed it was just sensory pit .... but then it was on my rtc... and i was afraid it was something worse..... it doesn't look normal ... thx for all your guys' help!! ... ill take some more pics and see if anything has changed...

oh and my ph is at about a 7.5- 7.6.. it always has been... i was under the impression that it was a good ph level... is it not????
