TSN SLOW TO TAKING PELLETS....NEED HIM ON THEM NOW

Alright so for the last week and a half I have not been feeding my TSN so I can get him on pellets instead of feeders.

I have been offering him only pellets, but he is still holding strong on his hunger strike.

The only problem is he is in my only available growout tank with an achara and RTC. The RTC is already on pellets and is starting to surpass the TSN in growth and im scared that in the next month the RTC will be able to make a snack out of the TSN.

Is there any way i can speed up the process to switch the TSN over to pellets so he grows just at similiar rate as the RTC?

I really cant afford to have him skimp out on feeding in this crucial stage in his development. because i know when hes not eating hes not growing

have you tried soaking the food in a garlic puree?

Yes, once...but it made it irrisistable to the other cats and was just making them eat, grow and dirty the water more...
and he really didnt seem that interested in it and i HATE overfeeding so he can get his share. My water quality is always off for a couple days after i leave a couple of massivore pellets in over nite

I will try that at the 2 week mark and after the others are good and fed again.

Are there any others tricks that I could try???

Yes, remove RTC and Achara to another tank, or divide them from TSN. The TSN seems stressed from them.

Target feeding in combo with the garlic may work as short term (turkey baster)

but in the long term you might re-think the stock combo

your doing it all wrong it goes-feeders(if you must-though you shouldnt need to unless it is a large wild caught fish) then wet food which should be the staple for predatory fish then pellets-though there is no real reason to try and force a tsn or rtc to eat dry foods.
if a couple of pellets wreck your water you need to seriously upgrage your filtration.
dont use massivore-its a rip-off its just koi food with monosodium glutamate in it-if you must try pellets use jmc.

he's on wet food. Im at school during the week and my dad wont feed shrimp and fillets so I need them on pellets for the week.
