I fed my TSN today, & then noticed after awhile, that he was still swallowing & opening his mouth kind of like a half yawn. Guess so...one of his longest whiskers was in his mouth but still attached under the side of his chin. No problem getting it out... thankfully...but I am amazed at how flexible his whiskers are. I guess I thought that it would snap or something. It was bent in there pretty good. Anyway, he let me take it out no problem then he just kind of sat there for a bit looking at me sideways, but he's fine and so is the whisker. :) I'm trying not to read human stuff into it ;) but like all animals...I think he knew he was helped. I'm used to this kind of thing with my dogs, but it sure is awesome to be able to learn about fish like this.

He must have been really attacking some food to swallow one of his wiskers..Glad you got it out though..

I hand feed him and he was gentle today, but after he eats each pellet, he goes to the bottom of his tank before coming up for the next one. Then when he's done, he stays there for a bit. Usually I give him two pellets for the last bite, so I guess he opened his mouth at the same time as he was moving his whisker. Always something to learn.
