Hey everyone, I have a pond with 5 large Red Snakeheads and wanted to get sometin to go in with them as well. I wanted a RTC or a TSN but I think the RTC would prolly kill them eventually. Are TSN just as bad or do u think they could get along?

you have to remember 5 micros will hunt in a pack,if hungry they will attack things twice there size, itsnot a good idea imo

i would say go with the RTC it would have a bette chance of surviving in there, the tsn is too skinny to handle redlines. but if the RTC is bigger than them it might try to snatch them up in the night!!

I was gunna get a TSN thats a bit bigger than them and I thought it would outgrow them too. Im mainly worried about the TSN hurting them. They dont eat live food usually but thay have eaten catfish a bit smaller than themselves before.

I think u will end up with a dead cat or 1 sh eaten once a week i can't see this setup lasting long.

it will only take one of them reds to get a bit peckish and take a bite, and the rest will smell dinner and join in

bad idea man

Can I see pictures of these Micro's. I honestly don't know if this would work, but I suppose it's possible. Snakehead are pretty curious by nature though and they usually take bites first and ask questions later.

You may wanna go with a more aggressive cat to fend for itself, not a purly predatory cat like a TSN, I think a RTC would be okay, or a ARTC. But, who knows, the tables could turn, I just don't see snakesheads waiting to become someone elses dinner unless the size difference is huge. Reds get 3 feet long, plus, at that size, they fear nothing so proceed with caution
