The hybrids have escaped and been found in the wild:

An interesting tidbit is that the mother species of the ones caught in the wild appears to be P. reticulatum, not P. fasciatum as we previously assumed.

Still though, there are a few variants of the TSN x Lei hybrids with different parental species that had surely been made in some quantity ( wednesday13 wednesday13 showed us photos before), it's just not clear which one or which ones have been chosen for mass production or whether there was just one chosen.

Looks like P. reticulatum x L. marmoratus must be it of at least one of them.

Interesting, as it does not resemble the "norm" of what we see available in the hobby. To me anyway, haha... thebiggerthebetter thebiggerthebetter we may very well still be seeing p. fasciatum x marmoratus most the time as this was just one local/river from what i took from the article. What i like, and dont like about the article is the proof that man made hybrids are in the rivers. Ive been saying this for a bit now regarding TSN genes and aquaculture type farms around or in the rivers themselves.

You are right, it doesn't look like what we see in our trade. I assumed it did and was too lazy to take a look at the article closer.
