anyone else have one that is active ALL the time. He is constantly all over the tank and he is extremely well fed. It is getting to the point where I am thinking about getting rid of him due to the fact that he never just relaxes.

Eric

The only reason why I don't like his temperment is the fact that he is starting to get large and my fear is that at some point he will either A) Have a spazz attack and break something or B) Make my black aro spazz out and hurt himself.

My black aro already lost 2 scales the other day due to the cat being stupid. Personally my aro is MUCH more important to me than the catfish.

Eric

Send the cat to me then :D

put some NiQuil in the tank...usually slows 'em down a bit.

no seriously, either you need a bigger tank, or get rid of one of the fish. or maybe ur over reacting and it'll be fine.

i'd like to see some pics though :)

I have two of them about 8-10" and they have always been super active. I just moved them from the 135 to the 240 so they would have more running room. how are yours on eating? mine never seem to get full. they have the predatory nature of a tsn but the mouth of the niger keeps them from eating my other fish. so for that I am thankful. I can keep them with fish I could never keep with my tsn or rtc with out being eaten. however they will take down feeders left and right, they eat anything, flake, pellets, feeders, shrimp, cut tilapia, you name it. they also grow at the rate of the tsn.
