Well what species. If you mean the regular culls we get then I believe they top out at around 30” most long term keepers report

I believe all the ones I have ever had were the farmies, same species, P. fasciatum or some kind of indecipherable, intractable hybrid. All poor genealogy, poor quality, short life, some deformities.

That's sad that he or she died was a thick healthy looking fish I. So glad I found this site for all my questions and concerns regarding these fish and you guys putting up with me ringing ur notifications lol

When do the stripes start to develop on the tsn is it at a certain age ?

Soon. The longitudinal white stripe is a baby trait. By 5" it will have some stripes. They will be heavy evolving until 2'+ and even then they will continue but slowly.
