TSN's this dark??

Had my TSN a couple months now. He is dark to the point where i can barely see pattern on his back. Anything to do with stress, water parameters, substrate, background, etc?? I kind of prefer the lighter grey with more vivid patterns.

Probably just his natural colouring. If he seems healthy and active I wouldn't worry too much. I see what you mean by the dark pattern though. It doesn't really pop like the usual colouration does.

is he blind? Iv read allot about blind fish getting a very dark pattern.
 
Some fish produce little/no melanine, called leucistic or amelanistic. There are those that over-produce. Perhaps yours is such.
