I have a 8" Midas in a tank by himself. His tube is very visible as if he is about to spawn, but as I said he is in a tank by himself with no tanks around him. Has this happened to anyone else? Anyone know why this is happening?

You got a horny fish! Sometimes they can see there own reflections when the room is dark and the light is on. This can make them think they see another fish. Fish can show a little tube all the time that is normal mostly with males.
Lol yea I was just thinking my fish was in the mood so Iv been desperately looking for a female

Well it's true that some males show while not in breeding cause they are always in the mood especially if never breed before. I had a male convict like that. His tube was always out and it almost looked female.
