I am wondering how to tell the difference between black worms and tubifix worms. My lfs said they were black worms but he use to carry tubifix worms. I dont want to feed tubifix. Can I get some help on how to tell the two apart? Thanks

Tubifex worms are usually pink/orange in color, around an inch long. Blackworms are red/black in color. Blackworms are much fatter and longer than tubifex worms.

Many places are selling selling tubifex as blackworms these days. You can order frozen and freeze dried blackworms these days so I don't even bother with live anymore.
