how much are 3"ers worth, saw some at the lfs for 30$. any pics of adults?

$30 for 3" Hoplarchus sounds about right. Here's the face of my large male:

Here's the pair breeding. They get really light when breeding. Normally their colors are much darker:

Wild saum or True Gt?

wild saums would be worth more than average Saums, i would pay a good deal more,

and Wild True Gt's are worth much more than that.

FYI- your LFS is never going to sell True's, possibly wild Saums.

There are three species of GTs - Aequidens Rivulatus, Aequidens Goldsaum, and Aequidens Silversaum. The one you are most likely to encounter in the aquarium trade is the Goldsaum. Most people refer to Rivulatus as the "true green terror", but I have seen other reputable folks refer to Silversaum as the "true" GT. It doesn't really matter, as all that is meant by "true GT" is the species that first made its entry into the aquarium trade many decades ago.
