I stripped the female yesterday after she'd been holding for about three days and was wondering how hard to tumble the eggs.

Should the eggs be bouncing slightly off the bottom, bouncing high off the bottom, or just rolling around?

Thanks for any and all suggestions! I think this fish might be a zebra nyeri, but not sure.

Mainly you just want to agitate them. Also you should really have them in their own tank of water with some type of fungicide like methylene blue or I use AcriflavineMS. However I reccomend not stripping the females until at least day 14 for cichlids other than Frontosa. My Fronts I strip immediately after I see them holding. Females can do a better job of preventing fungus on the eggs. Fungicide doesn't even work 100% of the time. I just lost a batch of 40 Albino Eureka Reds due to stripping to early and the female wouldn't pick the eggs back up. Total loss due to fungus and I am having a hard time getting production from my Albino ER group. Let nature do the work then you strip the product. Just my opinion though.
