I remember seeing someone's set up for their UV Sterilizer. I think it was a Turbo Twist but I'm not sure. It was setup with its own powerhead and attached to 2 PVC pipes, attached to the back of the tank. I did a search but couldn't find it. Anyone know where it is?

Also, will a 6X-18 Watt Turbo Twist be enough for a 120? What kind of powerhead should be attached to it for best results? Thanks.

Can't find that one either...:(

UV manufacturer spec. will dictate the power head flow rate (for internal UV, power heads don't like head pressure).

Can you use you filters return for the UV?

I can use the return line from one of the XP3's, but was worried about the flow rate. I don't want the water moving to fast out causing the UV to be useless. I am planning on using this setup for the filters:

Number 1:

-----------------------------
Micro filtration pad
------------------
Micro filtration pad
------------------------------
Full Ehfisubstra Pro
--------------
Full Ehfisubstra Pro
-------------------------------
30 ppi foam
--------------
20 ppi foam

--------------------------------

Number 2

-----------------------------
Micro filtration pad Pro
------------------
Micro filtration pad Pro
------------------------------
Ehfisubstra Only Pro
-------------------------------
30 ppi foam
--------------
20 ppi foam

-It is adapted from merc123. On his all of the pads looked double stacked, but I wasn't sure. Comments/Suggestions? Thanks.

Hope it helps :) :) :)

Put a 'T' off of the return line with a ball valve on the line to the tank and the other half of the 'T' to the UV and adjust the valve for the proper flow rate thru the UV.

Thanks, that was what I was looking for. I've got to look up some slow moving powerheads. I'm thinking about 100 gph according to the second link for an 18 watt UV.

I'll also look at the T line option.

Thanks again fellas.
