Turbo Twist UV sterilizer review?

I have a tank in direct sunlight (yes I know, I shouldn't but that was the only place for it)
So Would the turbo twist uv sterilizer for a 125 gallon tank (mines a 90 gallon) eliminate the single cell algae?

I had two 18 watters go bad but my third one is working like a champ. They kill ick and protozoans in the water and pee soup colored water. They will not however kill algae thats on rocks etc etc. BTW you will get better help in the setup and filtration area I believe.
