Those change collectors at Ralphs are they good or not? I heard their bad and rip u off I have a bunch of change. Anywhere good to do it, I think am going to have to do it at Ralphs >.<
Is it one of those things where you pour all your change in and it gives you a little coupon that tells you how much change you had? If so, you can only use the coupon at that store and they do tend to rip you off.
It depends on your bank. The credit union I bank with has a machine in their lobby that is free to use for account holders.
Those machines in the supermarkets tend to charge 8-10%. The ticket it prints can be taken to the register and cashed out. They don't require you to spend any money to cash it out.
Your not going to get 100% or 99% back. Coinstars and the like have to pick up the coins, deliver the machines and pay people to do this. It's not free. Personally taking 8-10% of my cash is fine. Think about it, if these machines weren't out there you would have a ton of coins just sitting at your place. Most banks have these machines or can exchange for cash if their in rolls.
