i have a 20 gallon fish tank which is meant to house fish, that has been used to house a leopard gecko for the past 6 years can anyone give me suggestions on how to clean it to turn it into a functioning aquarium? if it is possible.

I have been told that a terrarium (something that has previously housed a reptile) can not be used for an aquarium because the bacteria or something left by reptiles can not even be killed by bleach. I do not know how accurate this is.
well its actually an aquarium used as a terrarium i have seen it done in a 40 gal that housed a baby iguana for about a year i just dot know how. i have been told the same but seeing it done there has to be a way.
