Just planning the set up on my new 250.
I will be running a sump and canister in the tank, the sump will be around 60 gallons and the canister is an eheim 2078e.
I will be using an aqua medic 3500 or 6500,the 3500 will give me about 2700 LPH @1.5M and the 6500 will give me about 4500 @1.5m as the return from the sump split between two returns.
I plan on adding some small pumps/powerheads lower down,as there will be lots of bogwood and structure, to move debris around until the overflow of canister outlet can deal with them and too ensure no dead spots.
Would you consider these extra pumps as part of the turnover or just the water flowing through the sump and canister as if I use the smaller pump including the canister that will give me close to 3.5 turnover which is fine for the bio filtration i think and I dont really want the plants to look like a kelp forest in an incoming tide but equally dont want to little circulation
