those of you who use a sump, how many times do you aim for water turnover???? I am gonn set up another 125 gallon and will be using a sump with bioballs. I am just curious as to what kind of pump would be required to properly filter the water. I usually aim for 10x turnover with my HOB, do i need that much for a sump as well????

With a sump you can do 4-6. I still aim for 10 though. I love flow. I want the fish to get pinned up against the glass because there is so much flow, this way I can get a good look at them, jk.
My 125 is sized with a 950 GPH pump. So I think with the drop in flow due to the distance it has to pump up to the tank I think I’m getting between 6 and 7 times turnover.
