I have a pup tank that is 220 liters. On this tank i run a Fluval 404 canister, has bin working great. But today i decided to put in a Eheim 2252 (1200l\h). I could clearly see that the rays reacted on it as the flowrate i added was a turnover by 6. Is this too much on a pup tank? what do you guys out there run?

I do not have a pup tank, I float vented containers in the main system so they stay in the same water and I do not have to have an extra tank. I would not think extra flow would hurt them since they live in rivers. Maybe you can redirect the flow from the outlet so that the current in minimized, that or return the water through a spray bar.
