i have a 150 gallon tank (60x24x24) with a juvie oscar, juvie pbass (2) and juvie clown knife. what should my turnover be? the sump will be the only filtration aside from a fbf (maybe a penguin 350)i want to get a pump and it to be fine even when they're older (the knife and oscar will be removed,2 lone pbass) thanks

5x - 8x

Don't forget to calculate head pressure.

You know your going o get more fish ....Don't you? ;)

I always aim for 3-5x. Most of mine are close to 3x and I've never had an issue with it.

Ohh,i dont really worry about backups, i could just throw these in my established pond if the pump goes (pond is filtrated naturally) the tank is drilled and has 2 1" bulkheads with valves. sump is going to be a 55 gal and a 15 gal refugium. But lets say the sump was a 29,would it be ok?I have an extra 29 gal and i feel like my that into a sump instead of my brand new 55,where the JD's are now

head pressure?you mean head loss? (800 at 0' head 500 at 5'?)will this pump work?http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=47137
the return will be at 3 foot from the "head" i will, all these are wild caught by me except the clown knife,i wanna catch some jaguars or some managuense.

Yep, it will probably move about 900-1000gph @ 3ft.

It may warm the water a little too.
