So i have a pool that i converted into a pond and i was wondering what kind of frog and turtle i could maybe put in it? I have bluegills and channels in there which would help control the frog population if thats a problem. Its about 17,000 gallons. i have a step for the turtles to bask on. I was thinking about a Red ear sliding turtle. but wud it try to eat the fish? for frogs i was thinking about leopard frogs and no bullfrogs:grinno:

Turtles and frogs don't mix, frogs are part of most turtles' natural diet. The turtles will eat or injure your fish too. It sounds like you have some great fish species in there, I would just stick with that :)

Best,
Paul

The turtle will try an eat the fish but there just blue gills just cetch some more the frogs will be fine just get some mosquito fish or somthing like that then the turtle will eat them an proly wont bother your other fish that a huge pond/pool you could fit alot of stuff in there that would be awsome to have.

I have some koi in there too. If i add mosquito fish for the turtles, the mosquito fish wud be anniahlated by the bluegill. I guess ill just skip on the turtle. So anymore ideas on frog species?

Don't put ACFs in there. They're illegal in California because they're an invasive species. Also, like others have said, frogs and turtles generally don't mix well.
