Hey everybody,

So I Currently have an axolotl and my girlfriend really wants to get a turtle. So my question is do you guys know of any turtle species that would go well with an axolotl. I know fish with axolotls will not get along they will either get eaten or the fish will nip at the axolotl.

Any suggestions or comments are welcome. Thanks :)

X2. That would be an extremely bad combo. Many turtles eat aquatic amphibian larva whenever they have the chance.

Not a good idea.

Axolotls need to be a species only tank. Why not just set up another tank for a turtle?

Do a little research on any kind of animal before you get it and you should have known which answer you were going to get.

Plus they need diferent conditions to trive.

Another good point.

While I no nothing about turtles, except done cram a bunch of little ones together and not expect some kind of damage.

My axie water is about 52-56 degrees, I am pretty sure a turtle will not be happy at those temps.

As above, axies will be eaten alive by turtles. Even if they are larger than the turtle, they will lose toes, limbs, gills etc, until the stress kills them. They are very delicate animals, even a turtle swimming past it could cause damage with claws.

There is no species that will leave the salamander alone. On the plus side, at least it can grow its missing limbs back....
