Turtle Feeding time!

Here's my first go at shooting video on my new camera. This is my juvie Stinkpot Musk Turtle. He actually lives with a very nice female convict cichlid, but she isn't in any of the shots.

how do you have your filter assembled?
are those krill treats?

I'm using a Rena Filstar XP1 canister filter.

Yes, they are freeze-dried shrimp and turtle pellets.

oh no i meant like the spray bar thing is on the intake??
i've seen a couple turtle keepers do that but what good does it do?


how deep is the tank?

I don't use a spray bar, I just have the outake pointing along the bottom to add a bit of a current. It's a 40 gallon rubbermaid tub filled about 3/4 full.

do you have the tub above the filter or are they on the same level?

The tub is around 2 feet off the ground. The filter is on ground level because it works better when the water level is 40 inches off the ground or something.
